2: 9 But you are ”a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, proclaim the excellencies of Him,” which has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;
2:10 Which in time past ”were not a people,” but now you are the ”people of God”, who before ”had not obtained mercy,” but now ”you have received mercy.”
2:11 Dear friends, as strangers and sojourners, I beseech you, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul,
Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves – it is the gift of God –
2: 9 Not of works, lest anyone should boast.
2:10 For we are his workmanship good works, created in Christ Jesus, whom God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye, ye behalf of flesh Gentiles who have received the uncircumcised by those that, in accordance with the hands in the flesh circumcision, circumcised, they say –

2:14 For he is our peace, he who made both one, and hath partition between us, namely, hostility,
2:15 Having abolished in his flesh made ineffective commandments contained in ordinances law, in order to create in himself the two into one new man, making peace,
2:16 and might reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, mortifying the enmity.
2:17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near;
2:18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father.
2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens, and the family of God,
2:20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone,
2:21 where the whole building is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
